• 1992- won the I.O.D.E. award for the book "The Nightingale"
• 1992- on the short list, City of Toronto Book Awards for "Cosimo Cat"
• 1998- was chosen to exhibit at the Society of Illustrators, New York City
• 2000- nominated for Governor General's Award for Children's Book Illustration for "The Market Wedding"
• 2000- Honour Book, Sydney Taylor Book Awards for "The Market Wedding"
